GRANVILLE, Ohio – Denison men's soccer suffered a 1-0 loss to DePauw University in exhibition play on Saturday afternoon at Granville High School in Granville, Ohio.
- With three minutes remaining in the first half, junior Stuart Windell looked to feed freshman Luke Doukas on a header, but the attempt flew over the crossbar leading to a 0-0 tie heading into halftime.
- In the 51st minute of play, Luke Mattessich looked to give the Big Red the lead on a free kick to the upper right-corner of the goal, but DePauw's goalie Collin Davidson swatted it away to keep the game scoreless.
- Less than two minutes later, the lone goal of the day was scored in the 53rd minute when DePauw's Jack Seamands finished a shot from 25 yards out on the left side of the box as DePauw held of the Big Red through the final 37 minutes of regulation.
Denison will return to action on Saturday, April 17 when they host Ohio Wesleyan for an exhibition match beginning at 3 p.m.
