Granville, Ohio — The No. 6-ranked Denison men's soccer team kept its perfect start intact with a commanding 4-0 win over Franklin & Marshall on Friday night at Kienzle-Hylbert Stadium.
The Big Red (3-0-0) struck early and never looked back, as senior forward Henri Heyes netted a pair of first-half goals. His opener came in the 16th minute, finishing off a setup from Kaden Kist, before doubling the lead in the 43rd minute with an unassisted strike that sent Denison into the halftime break ahead 2-0.
Momentum carried over into the second half when Zarius Eusebe scored his eight career goal in the 49th minute, assisted by Kameron Kist. Just over ten minutes later, sophomore Will Fullerton added to the tally with her first career goal, slotting home a pass from Julian Bozzolo to cap the scoring at 4-0.
The Big Red dominated the stat sheet, outshooting the Diplomats 20-3 while earning a 7-4 advantage in corner kicks. Denison's back line held Franklin & Marshall (0-2-0) without a shot in the opening half, and goalkeeper Alex Provost needed only two saves to secure the shutout.
Franklin & Marshall was shown three yellow cards in the match, while Denison committed just six fouls overall.
With the win, Denison has now opened the season with three straight victories, outscoring its opponents 6-0.
