Crosser’s Long-Range Strike Lifts Denison Past Stockton

Galloway, N.J. — The No. 6-ranked Denison men's soccer team stayed unbeaten to open the 2025 campaign with a 1-0 win at Stockton University on Sunday morning at G. Larry James Stadium.

The lone goal came in the 17th minute when senior midfielder Miles Crosser unleashed a strike from nearly 40 yards out, finding the back of the net for his first goal of the season. Kameron Kist was credited with the assist.

The Ospreys outshot the Big Red 11-6 overall, but both teams put five attempts on target. Goalkeeper Alex Provost stood tall with five saves to record his second shutout in. 

Tempers flared late as four yellow cards were issued between the two sides, but the Big Red held firm to secure the result.

With the victory, Denison improves to 2-0-0, while Stockton falls to 1-1-0.

Up Next for the Big Red

Denison returns to Granville, Ohio to take on No. 22 Franklin and Marshall College. The Big Red will host the Diplomats on Kienzle-Hylbert Stadium's pitch on Friday, Septemeber 5, at 7:30 p.m.
