GRANVILLE, Ohio—Denison women's soccer handed Kenyon College a 7-2 loss in an exhibition match from Piper Stadium on Saturday afternoon. With the win, Denison improves to 2-0 in its abbreviated spring season.
- Denison center back Katie Livingston started things off in grand fashion with a 30-yard boot from the center of the field that found the back of the net to put DU on top 1-0.
- First-year forward Callie Davis put on a nifty move to dodge her defender to score from 10-yards out in the 17th minute.
- Kenyon got a pair of goals from Sadie Gould in a one-minute span with 12 minutes left in the first half to tie the match at 2-2.
- Livingston gave DU a 3-2 lead at the intermission after scoring on a rebounded shot by Sydney Ludes.
- Five minutes into the second half, Dulcie Hayes scored off a pass from Callie Davis. Three minutes later, Davis found the back of the net for the second time, scoring from point-blank range.
- DU added two more goals from Megan Hovan and Ellie Riser in the final seven minutes to set the final at 7-2.
- In two matches against Kenyon this spring, Denison has outscored the Ladies 12-5.
Denison will close out its spring schedule next Saturday, May 1 when they host Ohio Wesleyan at noon.
