#27 Big Red blow by Bishops, 9-0

GRANVILLE, Ohio -- Denison men's tennis posted a 9-0 sweep over Ohio Wesleyan on Wednesday afternoon at the Luttinger Family Tennis Center in Delaware, Ohio.

In doubles play, the 27th-ranked Big Red jumped out to an early 3-0 lead after No. 1 pair Tim Cianciola and Jack Bulger took down OWU's Ben Stein and Billy Lewis, 8-2. Andy Mackler and Marc Lennart-Harms defeated Omar Santiagonunez and Jose Mancilla, 8-3. To finish out doubles, Jacob Dennen and Milan Gonela shut out Miller Buckholz and Alex Riess, 8-0.
In singles action, Cianciola moved to 2-1 in singles play this season after he defeated Stein, 6-0, 6-1, in the top flight. Lennart-Harms took down Buckholz, 6-1, 6-0 in No. 2 singles while Dennen defeated Santiagonunez with a pair of 6-1 wins.
Continuing the Big Red win streak was Mackler, who defeated Lewis 6-0, 6-1, and Gonela picked up a win over Mancilla, 6-1, 6-1. Closing out the match was Daniel Garcia, who shut out Marcelo Aguilar with a pair of 6-0 wins. The win sent Denison to 2-1 on the season as OWU moved to 0-2.
