PITTSBURGH, Pa. – Denison University men's and women's squash opened their inaugural varsity season on Saturday afternoon with an 8-0 loss at Chatham University in Pittsburgh, Pa. The Big Red combined their men's and women's teams for a squad of eight total players competing against the Cougars.
- In the No. 1 slot, Denison senior Henry Rosenberg tallied a team-best eight points in the third set against Abdul Malik, but eventually fell in three sets, 11-1, 11-3, 11-8.
- At No. 3, Michael Chin-Lee scored three points in his first set against Owais Rasheed, but the Cougars took the win with a final of 11-3, 11-1, 11-2.
- In No. 8 play for the women, Lindsey Cruikshank battled for at least two points in each set, but CU's Valentina Della Maddalena took the match and helped the Cougars move to 1-0 on the season. The loss sent Denison to 0-1 in 2021.
Due to the COVID-shortened season, the Big Red ended their abbreviated inaugural campaign at 0-1 overall.
