Big Red suffer loss to Kenyon in NCAC title match

INDIANAPOLIS – Denison men's tennis suffered a 6-1 defeat to Kenyon College on Sunday afternoon in the championship match of the North Coast Athletic Conference Tournament held at the Barbara S. Wynne Tennis Center in Indianapolis, Ind.

In doubles play, the Big Red's top-flight combo of Tim Cianciola and Mitchell Thai fell short of Anatol Doroskevic and Pascal Lee in No. 1 play, 8-5. Trailing 2-0 after the first and third flights, senior Kevin Brown and Blake Burstein won No. 2 singles in an 8-7 (7-3) tiebreaker over Henry Barrett and Nicholas Paolucci.

In singles play, the Lords added victories in No. 2-No. 5 singles to take the conference title.

The Big Red ended the season with an overall record of 12-7, including a perfect 4-0 mark against NCAC West competition.
