GAMBIER, Ohio -- After narrowly upsetting top-seeded DePauw on Saturday, Oberlin secured third-place in the 2017 North Coast Athletic Conference Tournament following a 5-2 decision over Denison.
Colin Bahin and Danish Siddiquie helped the Big Red avoid a doubles sweep by doubling up Abraham Davis and Levi Kimmel, 8-4, at the third flight. The victory pushed the duo's winning streak to six-straight to end the year. They've also won eight of their last 10 matches.
Siddiquie also posted Denison's lone singles victory, defeating Manickam Manickam in straight sets (6-3, 6-0). Kevin Brown and Blake Burstein lost a close decision at the top doubles flight, while also falling in three-set battles in singles play.
Denison closed out the year with a 9-10 record, while Oberlin wrapped up the season at 16-10.
