GRANVILLE, Ohio-- The Denison men's tennis team took down Allegheny, 9-0 on Saturday. Kevin Brown improved to 9-8 in singles play after a 6-1, 6-1 win over Jai Redkar at No. 1 singles. Owen Smith prevailed, 6-2, 6-4 over Colton Johnson Taylor and Colin Bahin topped Mike Siegel, 6-1, 6-2. Blake Burstein, Costas Alevizopoulos and Julian Janczak rounded out the singles wins for DU.
In doubles play, Ryan Issa and Danish Siddiquie defeated Derek Sawer and Siegel, 8-4 at third singles to clinch the sweep. Smith and Jamie McDonald were winners, 8-1 while Brown and Burstein teamed for the 8-3 win at first doubles.
Denison improves to 5-7 while Allegheny drops to 2-11. The Big Red will host Oberlin on Sunday (April 2) in Granville. That match will begin at 12 p.m.
