The 18th-ranked Kenyon Lords picked up an 8-1 victory over North Coast Athletic Conference rival Denison on Tuesday evening in Granville.

Big Red junior Owen Smith, the reigning NCAC Player of the Week, recorded DU's lone victory. Holding a 5-2 advantage in the opening set at fifth singles, Smith's opponent, Tristan Kaye, was forced to retire with an injury. Sophomore Jack O'Koniewski went three sets with Mike Roberts at No. 4 singles, falling 5-7, 6-2, 10-2.

Denison falls to 8-5 on the year, while the Lords move to 4-9. The Big Red will play their final regular season home match next Wednesday (April 13) at 4:30 p.m.
