Denison rallied from a 3-1 deficit to defeat DePauw, 5-4, at Blackstock Courts in Greencastle, Indiana.
The Big Red's top doubles team of Jackson O'Gorman-Bean and Kevin Brown salvaged a point with an 8-5 win over Alec Kaczkowski and Dan Rodefeld. Trailing 2-1 after doubles, things got tougher for Denison after Kaczkowski got a 7-5, 6-2 win at third singles.
Denison's comeback started when Colin Bahin defeated Harold Martin, 6-1, 7-5. Owen Smith followed with a 6-4, 6-3 win out of the fifth flight and Jamie McDonald defeated Patrick Farrell, 6-3, 6-4 from the second flight.
With Denison now leading 4-3, Brown provided the clincher with a three-set win over Rodefeld, 6-3, 3-6, 6-4. DePauw's Matt Santen would finish the match with a win over Jack O'Koniewski with the decision already finalized.
Denison entered the match ranked 31st in the Division III Top-40 poll. DePauw was ranked 35th. The Big Red improves to 10-6 and 2-1 in the North Coast Athletic Conference West Division. DePauw falls to 8-9 and 1-1 in the NCAC West.
