The 30th-ranked Denison men's tennis team picked up their first North Coast Athletic Conference victory of the season following a 9-0 victory over Wittenberg on Wednesday in Granville, Ohio.
Due to injuries, Denison was spotted two points with walkover wins at third doubles and No. 6 singles. The first doubles team of Kevin Brown and Jackson O'Gorman-Bean cruised past Matt Arroyo and Akbar Tiwana, 8-2, for their team-leading 13th victory of the year. At the second flight, Blake Burstein and Leo Blumberg-Woll defeated Luke Minard and Kieren Thomas 8-1.
The Big Red swept all five singles flights in straight sets. O'Gorman-Bean defeated Arroyo 6-4, 7-6 for his first win at the top flight. Colin Bahin was a 6-1, 6-4 winner at No. 2 singles, while Burstein won via matching 6-1 scores. Costas Alevizopoulos defeated Sean Munson 6-2, 6-0, while Blumberg-Woll shutout Thomas 6-0, 6-0.
