Sixth-ranked Chicago picked up their sixth win over a nationally-ranked team following an 8-1 win over No. 35 Denison on Saturday afternoon in Indianapolis, Ind.
The Maroons took a commanding 3-0 lead after sweeping the three doubles flights. With those victories, Chicago improved to 20-7 as a team in dual match doubles competition. The Big Red broke up the shutout bid in the third singles flight when senior Jackson O'Gorman-Bean defeated Sven Kranz in straight sets (6-1, 6-4).
Denison falls to 3-3 on the year, while the Maroons improve to 8-1. The Big Red returns to action next Saturday (March 5) when they host Kalamazoo. Match time is scheduled for 2 p.m.
