Denison scored eight-straight goals over the final 25 minutes of play resulting in a 13-8 come-from-behind win over Augustana College in Detroit, Mich.

The two teams were playing indoors at the Detroit Country Day School and the Vikings asserted themselves early, scoring four of the first five goals of the game.

With just over one minute left in the first half, Augustana held a 5-2 lead.  Over the final 1:20 of the first half, the two teams would combine to score five goals.  Scores by Lizzy Pellicane and Carol Allen within the final 18 seconds of the half would cut the Augustana deficit to two at 7-5.

In the second half, AC senior Rebecca Pollard scored to put her team up 8-5.  Five minutes later, Claudia Rafi would score her second goal of the game, getting DU to within two.  Rafi's goal would start the string of eight unanswered goals for the Big Red.

Two goals just nine seconds apart by Claire Ludlow tied the game at 8-8.  With 11:44 to play, Rafi scored the eventual game-winner off a feed from Ludlow.  Allen would close out the game with four straight unassisted goals to give her squad the 13-8 win.

Allen led all scorers with five goals.  Rafi finished with three goals while Ludlow ended with three goals and one assist.  Pellicane rounded out the scoring for Denison with two.

The Big Red will return to action on Saturday, March 5 when they take on Brockport St. in Brockport, N.Y.
