In a matchup of two nationally ranked teams, No. 11 Kenyon came away with a 7-2 win over No. 33 Denison from the Jasper Tennis Center in Gambier, Ohio.
The Big Red took one point in doubles as Grant Veltman and Jackson O'Gorman-Bean defeated Sam Geier and Tim Rosensteel, 9-7. Kenyon's pair were ranked sixth in the latest ITA central region rankings.
Denison's final point would come at No. 6 singles where Owen Smith defeated Davis Thrailkill, 6-3, 3-6, 11-9.
At No. 1 singles, the sixth-ranked player in the region, Wade Heerboth held off Veltman, the 11th ranked player in the region, 6-3, 6-2.
Denison falls to 7-8 on the year. The Big Red will look to get back in the win column on Saturday when they host Allegheny at 2 p.m.
