The Denison women's swimming and diving team ended its 2014-15 dual meet schedule with a 209-61 win over host Ohio Wesleyan University. The Big Red did not lose an event as numerous DU swimmers and divers were multiple winners.
Marissa Bednarek was Denison's top performer on the day as she logged three victories. She won the 100 breaststroke (1:05.54) and the 50 breast (30.84) while also swimming on the 200 medley relay with Keely Lovern, Carolyn Kane and Mary Van Leuven (1:49.71).
Mae Riordan and Mary Cullen placed 1-2 in both distance free events as Riordan swam the 500 free in 5:10.00 and the 300 free in 3:02.70.
Kate Wright was a two-time winner in the 100 freestyle (52.83) and the 100 backstroke (1:00.51). Campbell Costley was the runner-up in the 100 free in 53.13 while Lovern took second in the 100 back (1:00.88).
In the diving events, Carrie Bookheimer won the 3-meter with a six-dive score of 220.69. Katherine Hennigan placed second with a score of 205.15. On the 1-meter board, Sarah Lopez placed first with 219.80 while Bookheimer finished second in 210.70.
In the 50 backstroke, Lovern won with a time of 28.75 and Meghan Bagley was second in 30.10. Bagley would get a victory of her own in the 100 individual medley, which she won with a time of 1:03.38.
Denison's winners were rounded out by Carolyn Kane in the 50 free (24.52), Van Leuven in the 25 free (11.35) and Halli Garza in the 100 fly (59.24).
In the final race of the meet, Denison's team of Costley, Kane, Van Leuven and Wright posted the fastest time in 1:37.20 while racing as an exhibition entry.
Denison will return to the pool on Feb. 11-14 when the Big Red host the 2015 North Coast Athletic Conference Swimming & Diving Championship at the Trumbull Aquatics Center.
