Through one round at the Capital University Purple & White Invitational, Denison sits in eighth place out of 14 teams.  The Big Red totaled 392 strokes in the opening round and are 10-shots behind seventh-place John Carroll heading into Saturday's final round.

Amanda Castle led the way with a round of 87 and Stacey Adams followed with a 97.

Denison's Carly Schultz and Elizabeth Tristano rounded out the Big Red's scoring with rounds of 101 and 107, respectively.

The team lead belongs to Bethel College (Ind.) with 326 and Mount Union sits in second place at 339.
