Denison closed out its spring trip to Hilton Head, S.C. with a 9-7 loss to Scranton on Thursday afternoon.  Despite getting a four-goal effort from Molly Sbrega and nine saves from Denison goalie Grace Bodenmann, the Big Red couldn't close the gap versus the Royals.

Sbrega scored her four goals off seven hot attempts and was 2-for-2 in 8-meter attempts.  Lauren Adams and Laura Spinelli led Denison with three ground balls each while Carly Tschantz tallied five draws and two caused turnovers.

Bodenmann played all 60 minutes in cage, stopping five Scranton shots in the first half and four in the second half.  Denison falls to 4-3 with the loss while Scranton improves to 3-2.  Denison will return to action on Saturday (March 24) when they travel to Thiel College for a 2 p.m. start.
