The Denison women's golf team returned to action in South Carolina, taking part in the three-team Myrtle Beach Shootout hosted by McDaniel College. Denison placed second with a team total of 377 strokes. First-place went to Vassar with a total of 356 strokes while third place went to McDaniel with 382.
Denison was led by Amanda Castle's round of 86. That score was one stroke shy of tying for medalist honors with Vassar's Paloma Jiminez who ended with an 85.
Following Castle in a tie for seventh place was Stacey Adams who fired a 94. Carly Schultz followed in ninth place with a 97 and Elizabeth Tristano rounded out the scoring with a 100.
Denison will return to competition on March 30 at the Capital Invitational.
