Playing their second game in as many days, the Big Red women's lacrosse team suffered a 14-11 loss to McDaniel College in Hilton Head, S.C.

Denison led the Green Terror 9-7 at halftime but McDaniel opened the second half on a 4-0 run over the first 10 minutes of the period to take an 11-9 lead.

With 17 minutes to play Denison's Alex Thurner got the Big Red to within one goal off an assist by Lisa Feroli but back-to-back goals by Paige Messersmith and Bridget Bopst pushed McDaniel's lead back to three with 12 minutes left.

Each team would score once more, setting the final at 14-11.  Denison was led in points by Thurner and Feroli.  Thurner scored three goals and added one assist while Feroli tallied two goals and added two assists.

Molly Sbrega and Lauren Adams also chipped in two goals while Olivia Shiland added one goal and one assist.

Denison (4-2) will return to action in South Carolina on Thursday at 11 a.m. against Scranton.
