Denison opened its spring break trip to Hilton Head, S.C. with a 15-3 victory over Manhattanville on Monday afternoon.

The Big Red was paced once again by Molly Sbrega and Lisa Feroli.  The duo scored three goals each while Sbrega added two assists and Feroli chipped in one helper.  DU held a 6-1 lead at the half and outscored the Valiants 9-2 over the final 30 minutes of play.

Following Sbrega and Feroli in the points category were Olivia Shiland (2 goals), Erin Keller (2 goals) and Molly Chapman (1 goal; 1 assist).  Sbrega led Denison with seven ground balls and Lauren Adams tallied three caused turnovers.  Also getting in the scoring act for Denison was Adams, Kiersten Dussinger, Paige Williams and Laura Spinelli.

Hannah Minifie got the start in goal and turned in three saves in 48 minutes of action.  Grace Bodenmann played the final 12 minutes of the contests and finished with two saves.

Denison will return to action on Tuesday at 2 p.m. against McDaniel in Hilton Head.
