Box Score Denison suffered its first loss in North Coast Athletic Conference play on Saturday, falling 2-0 to The College of Wooster.
The match was scoreless until the 53rd minute when Wooster's Crystal Chavez took a feed from Liilly Mohre for the first goal of the day. Less than three minutes later the duo would connect again, putting the home team up 2-0 with a majority of the second half to play. Wooster would hold DU scoreless over the final 34 minutes to secure the win.
Denison took eight shots in the contest while Wooster attempted nine. Libbie Randolph led the Big Red with two shots. DU held a 5-4 advantage in corner kicks while Wooster's Michele Ring posted five saves while playing all 90 minutes.
Wooster improves to 8-4-1 overall and 3-0 in the NCAC while Denison drops to 3-7-1 and 2-1 in conference play. The Big Red will look to get back on track on Tuesday (Oct. 9) when they host Kenyon College at 7 p.m.
