The Denison women won its second dual meet in as many days, this time going on the road to top Carnegie Mellon, 164-120 from Pittsburgh, Pa.
DU was led by junior Alyssa Swanson who recorded three wins on the day. She took the 200 freestyle in 1:52.42, the 500 freestyle in 5:02.96 and swam anchor on the winning 200 medley relay team that posted a time of 1:47.78.
First-year Katie Collins swept the diving events with scores of 255.75 and 236.25 in the 3-meter and 1-meter, respectively. Sophomore Morgan Nuess posted a time of 24.36 to win the 50 freestyle and 100 backstroke went to Sarah Yu who swam a 58.81.
In the 1,000 freestyle it was Janet Watson who clocked in at 10:28.03 while the 200 butterfly was taken by Laurel Brabson in 2:06.25. The final trio of winners for Denison was Emily Schroeder in the 400 IM, Natalie Lugg in the 200 breaststroke and Lindsay Zeberlein in the 200 backstroke.
The victory closes out Denison's dual meet record at 8-4. They will return to action at the Kenyon Invitational on Feb. 10-11.
