Toledo bests Big Red

Denison suffered a 174-128 set back to Division I Toledo in a dual meet on Friday night at Gregory Pool.  The Big Red posted four victories on the night, with two coming in relays and two in individual events.

In the 100 backstroke it was junior Lindsay Zeberlein who took home first place with a time of 58.64.

The other individual event win went to Hilary Callen who covered the 1000 freestyle in 10:27.28.

In the 200 medley relay it was Sarah Yu, Natalie Lugg, Victoria Masney and Morgan Nuess that started the meet off with a victory in 1:48.13.  Denison closed out the meet in the same way they started it, with a win in the 400 free relay as Brenna Broadus, Alyssa Swanson, Nuess and Molly Willingham combined for a time of 3:30.90.

DU also racked up seven runner-up finishes on the night.  Two of those went to Swanson in the 200 free and the 100 free.  Lugg placed second in the 100 and 200 breaststroke and Laurel Brabson was second in the 200 fly.  Emily Schroeder posted a time of 2:07.02 in the 200 backstroke and Broadus touched in 57.75 in the 100 fly. 

In the 1-meter dive Sterling Keiser posted a score of 185.76 and Katie Collins totaled 176.48 to place fourth and fifth, respectively.  The duo reversed places in the 3-meter as Collins scored 178.95 points and Keiser checked in with 164.18.
