No. 21 Denison traveled to Cleveland on Wednesday night for a clash with Case Western Reserve and just like 2010, the Spartans and Big Red played 110 minutes of soccer to a scoreless draw.

Denison held a convincing 15-8 advantage in the shot department while placing eight of their 15 shots on-goal. 

In the first overtime period, Case had two consecutive scoring chances in the closing minute of the period when Kendra Simmons and Erica Sackett each sent shots on goal that were saved by Andrea Karl.

In the second overtime period it was Denison's turn to put some pressure on the CWRU goal as Grace Cronin and Tory Danis both took shots that had to be saved by Spartan keeper Anna Kennedy.

Kennedy ended with eight saves for Case while Karl posted five saves for the Big Red.  Danis and Cronin paced DU with three shots apiece. 

The Big Red move to 1-1-1 on the year while Case's record moves to 1-0-1.  Denison will return to action this Saturday (Sept. 10) when they host No. 9 Illinois Wesleyan at 1 p.m.
