The 27th-ranked Denison men's tennis team logged their fourth-straight win following a 7-2 win over Ohio Northern University on Tuesday afternoon in Granville.
The Big Red held a 2-1 edge after doubles play. Juniors Matt McErlean and Tyler Cempre secured their team-leading 14th win of the season following an 8-5 win at No. 1 doubles. Juan Guerra and Jay Fovel picked up DU's other doubles win at the third flight. The freshmen duo edged Jeff Carter and Andrew Korba 8-6.
Junior Tom Cawood won a three-set match over Do Thai at third singles. The win moved Cawood's current winning streak to 11 matches. McErlean, Andrew Marczak, Cempre and Jared Connolly all picked up straight-set victories.
Denison closes out the regular season with an 11-7 record, while the Polar Bears fall to 12-3. The Big Red will take on Wooster in the opening round of this weekend's North Coast Athletic Conference Tournament set to begin on Friday (April 29).
