The Denison women's swimmers placed second at the Kenyon Invitational and had a number of NCAA 'B' cut performances as the Big Red set their sights on the Division III championships in March.
Sarah DiNardo (Arlington, Va./Washington-Lee) posted a second-place performance in the 200 butterfly then she bested her time by more than two seconds in the time trial with a 'B' cut time of 2:05.08. Another strong 'B' cut time came from Cari Martin (Beavercreek, Ohio/Beavercreek) in the 100 backstroke time trail. She touched in and 57.20 while teammate's Sarah Yu (Durham, N.C./Chapel Hill) and Victoria Masney (W.Vancouver, B.C./Mulgrave) also recorded provisional qualifying times in 57.63 and 58.37, respectively.
Other 'B' cuts went to Emily Hopcian (Novi, Mich./Northville), Lauren Wine (Indianapolis, Ind./Lawrence North) and Masney in the 100 fly. Ksenia Golovkina (Newton, Mass./South) had times of 51.90 in the 100 free time trial and 23.84 in the 50 free time trial. In a separate 100 free time trial, Brenna Broadus (Charlottesville, Va./Western Albemarie) and Breanna Gordon (Mission Viejo, Calif./Santa Margarita) placed first and second in 52.19 and 52.22, respectively.
Lilla Grisham (Washington Grove, Md./Learning Community) logged a provisional time in the 400 IM time trial in 4:34.90. Other winners went to Marit Wangstad (Wayzata, Minn./The Blake School) in the 50 free and Yu in the 100 backstroke.
