Big Red take second at Kenyon Relays

Denison posted four victories en route to a second-place finish at the Kenyon College Relays on Saturday afternoon in Gambier, Ohio.

Pacing the Big Red were junior Alyssa Swanson and sophomore Natalie Lugg, who each posted two victories on the afternoon.  Swanson and Lugg were both members of the 200 butterfly and medley relays.

Also logging wins were senior Brenna Broadus, junior Sarah Yu, sophomore Morgan Nuess and first-year Michelle Howell.  Broadus and Howell swam on the 200-yard butterfly relay, while Yu and Nuess swam the first and anchor legs of the 200 medley relay.

The diving portion of the event was hosted by Denison University.  Big Red rookie Katie Collins won both the one-meter and three-meter diving events with scores of 205.15 and 207.20, respectively.  DU sophomore Rachel Keselring finished second in both the one-meter (201.15) and three-meter (171.25).

Host Kenyon won the event with 120 points, while the Big Red totaled 106 and Wittenberg finished with 74.  Rounding out the six-team field was Wooster (52), Allegheny (46) and Ohio Wesleyan (20).

Denison opens North Coast Athletic Conference action on Saturday (Oct. 29) when they host Ohio Wesleyan University at 1 p.m.
