Ian Franks scored 30 points and accounted for four of Wooster's 12 3-point field goals as the Fighting Scots handed the Denison Big Red a 97-73 loss on Saturday night from Timken Gymnasium.
Franks scored 16 of his 30 points in the first half as Wooster jumped out to a 51-35 halftime lead. The Scots shot 54 percent from the field and were 12 of 30 from long range. Aside from having four players reach double-digits in scoring, they managed to outrebound the Big Red 44-28.
Denison was led by Larry Farmer (Gurnee, Ill./Warren Twp.) who posted his sixth double-double of the season. Farmer scored 13 points and had 10 rebounds on the night. Sophomore Josh Leuchtag (Houston, Texas/Lamar) also posted a season-high with 13 points.
The Big Red will return to action on Wednesday when they host Hiram College at 7:30 p.m.
