The Denison women's swimming and diving team improved to 5-1 on the season following a 115-56 victory over Malone University on Friday night from Gregory Pool.

Denison's Marit Wangstad (Wayzata, Minn./The Blake School) and Brittany Oxley (Knoxville, Tenn./Bearden) both logged two victories apiece to lead DU.  Wangstad started out with a win in the 50 free with a time of 24.91.  She returned in the 500 freestyle with a winning time of 5:16.61.  Meanwhile, Oxley locked up victories in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:10.43 and the 100 freestyle in 55.68.

Also logging victories on Friday night were Becky Ramsey (Evanston, Ill./Evanston Twp.) in the 1,000 freestyle; Sarah DiNardo (Arlington, Va./Washington & Lee) in the 200 free; Natasha Mason (Ann Arbor, Mich./Mercy) in the 200 IM; Brenna Broadus (Charlottesville, Va./Western Albemarie) in the 100 fly; and Ata Zalicki (Shillington, Pa./The Hill School) in the 100 backstroke.

The Big Red will return to action on Saturday when they host Grove City College at 1 p.m.
