Denison Women’s Golf Completes 2026 Season at the NCAA Championships

Palm Desert, Calif.– After two days of competition, the Denison women's golf team wrapped its season at the 2026 NCAA Division III Women's Golf Championship, held at the Desert Willow Golf Resort in Palm Desert, California. The Big Red competed on both the Mountain View and Firecliff courses, where Denison took on the nation's top programs. Despite a strong start on day two, the Big Red missed the projected two-round cut line of +39 after shooting a combined +49 for 19th place. Round two took place on Firecliff, a par 72, 5,883-yard course.

Round 2 Highlights

In line with her day one performance, junior Natalia Fanucchi led the Big Red, scoring a day two total of 76, for an individual score of 76-76 (+8) across the two days. She recorded two more birdies on holes 16 and 18, to bring her week's total to three. Sophomore Siena Maschke also finished the second round with a score of 76. Though she only tallied one birdie throughout the week, Maschke was even for the majority of round two, giving her a final score of 80-76 (+12). Shooting the second-best score among the team was senior Isabella Dolan, who shot an 80 on day two, for a two-day total of 74-80 (+12). 

Team Summary- Round 2 (19th place- Team score 312 -313 [+49])

Denison women's golf wrapped up the season with eight top-10 finishes and their sixth consecutive NCAC Championship. This is also the fifth time the Big Red have appeared in the NCAA Championships, since head coach Lauren Grogan has been at the helm.
