Cleveland, Ohio - The North Coast Athletic Conference recently released their All-Conference baseball teams, and twelve players were selected with three earning major awards. Senior
Will Rettig took home Pitcher of the Year, junior
Jack Lutte was named Player of the Year,  and first-year
Andrew Montero was named Newcomer of the Year.
Robbie Lee,
Erik Sundgren, and
Eron Vega were also named First-Team alongside Rettig, Lutte, and Montero.
Andrew Fazio was the lone second-team nod, while
Max Fishbein,
Cade Nowik,
Nate Lloyd,
Jack Rollo, and
Cooper Marrs rounded out the team with third-team honors.
First Team:
Will Rettig (Pitcher | Senior | Perrysburg, Ohio | Pitcher of The Year) - Rettig has amassed a nation-leading 11-0 record while also breaking the Denison career strikeout record en route to earning the NCAC Pitcher of the Year award. The righty has recorded a 2.33 ERA over 69.2 innings, striking out 60 batters and walking just 13. This marks Rettig's third All-NCAC nod, earning 2nd-Team honors in 2024 and 2025.
Jack Lutte (Outfield | Junior | Venetia, Pa. | Player of the Year) - Lutte sits at No. 2 in the nation for batting average(0.484), No. 3 in the nation for slugging percentage (.909), and leads the nation in sacrifice flies (9). The dynamic lefty has made starts in left field, first base, catcher, and designated hitter en route to being named the NCAC Player of the Year. This is Lutte's third year in a row making All-NCAC and his second major award. The junior was 1st-Team in 2025, 2nd-Team in 2024, and the 2024 Newcomer of the Year.
Andrew Montero (Pitcher | First-Year | Upper Arlington, Ohio | Newcomer of the Year) - Montero, the dominant first-year, rewrote Denison record books with a 16-strikeout performance against Ohio Wesleyan to set the single-game strikeout record. The southpaw leads the nation in strikeouts per nine innings (15.40) and leads the conference in WHIP(0.87). Montero fanned 77 batters, good enough to lead the conference while also hurling a 2.60 ERA, and was named the NCAC Newcomer of the Year.
Robbie Lee (Pitcher | Senior | Washington, D.C.) - The senior righty delivered a perfect 7-0 season with 65 strikeouts over 54.0 innings. With 12 appearances and 10 starts, the senior delivered a 2.67 ERA, good for third in the conference.
Erik Sundgren (Outfield | Senior | Pittsburgh, Pa.) - Sundgren earned his second consecutive 1st-Team nod with a .384 batting average, 1.212 OPS, eight home runs, 47 RBIs, and a conference-best 19 doubles. Sundgren swiped 28 bases and drew 36 walks.
Eron Vega (Infield | Sophomore | Evanston, Ill.) - Vega has started 40 games at second base and served as the leadoff hitter in the dangerous Big Red lineup. The sophomore has batted .408 with a 1.128 OPS with 10 doubles and seven homers.
Second Team:
Andrew Fazio (Catcher | Junior | Minneapolis, Minn.) - Fazio has leveled up his all-conference nod, moving from 3rd team in 2025 to 2nd team in 2026. The catcher has been a brick wall behind the dish and a dangerous hitter in the box. Leading the team in putouts, Fazio has thrown out eight runners and has a fielding percentage of .996. In the box, Fazio leads the lineup with three triples and has recorded three homers to go along with his .364 batting average.
Third Team:
Max Fishbein (Infield | Senior | Atlanta, Ga.) -Â Fishbein earned his first All-NCAC nod thanks to a fantastic .364 batting average and dominant season at first base. With 208 putouts and 19 turned double plays, the first baseman has aided the offensive production with a .368 season and four home runs.
Cade Nowik (Infield | Senior | Lake Forest, Ill.) -Â Nowik earned his second All-NCAC nod in his senior season. The senior third baseman is one of only two Big Red players to appear in all 41 games on the season. Nowik has batted .354
Nate Lloyd (Outfielder | Sophomore | Oakwood, Ohio) - Lloyd has burst onto the scene for the Big Red as a sophomore, working into a regular starter in the outfield. Lloyd is an explosive defender, helping the deep outfield core throughout the season. With a .400 batting average and 1.132 OPS, Lloyd has contributed to the batting order in a multitude of ways.
Jack Rollo (Designated Hitter | Junior | Chesterfield, Mo.) - Rollo earned his second consecutive All-NCAC nod, this year as a designated hitter. With Fazio behind the dish and Lutte filling in as an outfielder, Rollo has taken over as a consistent starter in the DH spot. A switchhitter, Rollo has sat above a .300 batting average all year and has added four homers.
Cooper Marrs (Utility | Sophomore | Riverside, Ill.) - Marrs was a week day starter in the nation-leading Denison pitching staff, posting a 2.21 ERA with a 5-0 record. In addition to contributions on the mound, Marrs made starts in the outfield and launched a grand slam against Lewis and Clark.
The Big Red will host the Granville Regional in the NCAA Tournament starting this Friday, with Denison taking on Grinnell at 11 am.
