NCAC Golf Championships

Women’s Slated First, Men Fourth in NCAC Golf Pre-Championship Polls

Cleveland, Ohio - The North Coast Athletic Conference recently announced the pre-championship poll for the upcoming NCAC Championships in men's and women's golf next week. The women's team was polled first with 49 points and all seven first-place votes.They look to win their sixth consecutive title, as they did so last year while returining all-conference first team selections Siena Maschke and Lizzy Grant. The men were slated fourth, earning 41 points, and look to win their first since 2021. 

Women's

The Big Red women's team has had a solid spring against top competition, and has placed in the top-10 in their last two events with a first place finish at the Panhhi Spring Intercollegiate. Junior Natalia Fanucchi has had an impressive junior campaign, finishing the highest out of the Big Red through three events, with her best coming in the Savannah Invitational, shooting a 143 (-3) for seventh place. 

The 2025 first team All-NCAC recipient Siena Maschke recently had her best round of her Denison career, winning the Panhhi Spring Intercollegiate shooting one under for the win.The sophomore would also post a solid round in Savannah, shooting seven over for 40th. 

Senior Isabella Dolan has stayed consistent for the Big Red, finishing second among the group twice with her best score coming Spring Intercollegiate at 11 over. Last season at the NCAC Championship, she placed fourth and earned all-tournament honors. Lizzy Grant also looks to repeat all-tournament honors, as she finished second with a total score of 231 (+15).

Men's 

The Big Red have started to get hot at the right time, finishing in the top-five in their last two events with most recently winning the DePauw Spring Invitational. The team has been paced by first-years Jack Pelletier and Will McCarthy, who have both broken out over the spring season. Pelletier has finished first for the Big Red twice this season, and has had two top-10 finishes. His best day came at the Foxfire Invite, where he shot even for a 10th place finish. 

McCarthy has followed suit, with most recently having the best total of his career a couple days ago, shooting one under for second place in Noblesville. He was also dialed at the Foxfire Invite, shooting three over for 18th place.

Senior Jack Yurosek has been surgical in his last two events, winning both the Denison Shootout and DePauw Invitational. At the shootout, Yurosek shot five under for a new career-low, then turned back around for a three under at DePauw to take first place. The senior is getting hot at the right time in hopes for another top-10 finish at the championship.

The men's will be teeing off at Avalon Lakes in Warren, Ohio, while the women's will be at Squaw Creek in Vienna, Ohio, where start time for both will be at 8 am. For more information on the tournament, the tournament page can be found here.
