Oberlin, Ohio. - In their final match before traveling to Florida for Spring Break the Denison women's tennis team defeated Oberlin College 7-0, to remain undefeated in North Coast Athletic Conference play. Denison moves to 8-2 for the season and 5-0 in league play, while Oberlin drops to 4-2 and 0-1 in NCAC play.

Doubles:

Jumping to an early 1-0 lead, the Big Red dominated in doubles play. On court one, Peyton Oda and Rafaella Ramos sailed to a 6-1 victory over their Yeowomen opponents to put Denison up a match in doubles. Maddie Larsen and teammate Maia Nowicki won the second match on court two after defeating their opponent 6-3. The closest doubles match of the day was on court three, where Ariana Fernanda Rodriguez and Dasha Chistyakova beat their opponent 6-4.

Singles:

Up 1-0 after doubles, the Big Red continued to stifle any chance of a comeback in singles play. Chistyakova earned Denison's second point of the day after defeating Oberlin's Eva Lopez 6-0, 6-3, on court three. Nowicki defeated her opponent 6-2, 6-2 on court four. With a 3-0 lead, the Big Red kept the energy across all the courts, with Ramos extending the lead to four after defeating Scarlett Kingston on court two 6-2, 6-2. Denison would complete the conference sweep with Oda holding off her opponent on court one after falling 2-6 in the first game, then coming back to win the second set 7-5, and the tiebreaker 10-6. Larsen earned the sixth victory of the day, after blanking her opponent 6-0, 6-0 on court five, and securing the team sweep for the Big Red was Gallagher, who beat Hannah Soong 6-1, 6-0 on court six.
