Indianapolis, Ind. (March 19, 2026)- After two days of competition, the Denison men's swimming and diving team remains in first place with a total of 226 points at this year's NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships. Thanks to a strong prelim finish, the Big Red notched seven more All-Americans, including one national champion, Jack Hill, who also broke the NCAA record in the 200 Free. Some movement in the standings below Denison occurred following day two. UChicago shot up to second place with 179 points, followed by NYU in third place with 169; and holding tightly to fourth place is Kenyon with 150 points.
What Happened in Prelims
For the second day in a row, Denison junior Jack Hill found his rhythm early, finishing first in the 200 Free, with an impressive 1:35. He was joined by three other Big Red swimmers to qualify in the 200 Free A Finals for a dominant start to the day. Denison would also take the top spot in the 200 Free Relay prelims; the team of Hill, Nick Hensel, Cam Blevins-Mohr, and Harry Parsons finished with a time of 1:18.78.Â

In the 100 Fly, there was the third swim-off of the meet, this time, first-year Sam Hibbert faced Bryce Roberts in the final spot of the B Finals. Unfortunately for the Big Red rookie, he came up short in the swim-off.
Day Two Finals
Jack Hill earned his second NCAA National Championship title in the 200 Free, with a time of 1:33.94, breaking the previous NCAA record of 1:34.74 (James McChesney | TCNJ- 2023). Also competing in the 200 Free A Finals were George Goins, Nick Hensel, and Harry Parsons. Goins finished in 5th with a time of 1:36.85, followed by Hensel in sixth place with a time of 1:37.49. Rounding out the four A Final qualifiers was Parsons, who swam a 1:38.74 for eighth.
In the 100 Fly, Blevins-Mohr swam a 47.94 in the A Finals for eighth place, and in the 400 IM, Swiggett finished 12th after swimming the event in 3:55.61.Â
Denison wrapped the day as runners-up in the 200 Free Relay. Hill, Hensel, Blevins-Mohr, and Parsons swam a 1:18.63, just tenths of a second behind UChicago.

Denison continues to compete in the 2026 National Swimming and Diving Championships through Saturday evening inside the IU Natatorium. Prelim sessions are set to start at 10 a.m. each morning, with the final sessions starting at 6 p.m. each night.
