Women’s Squash Falls to Middlebury in Kurtz Cup Quarterfinals

Philadelphia, Pa. - In the CSA Divisional Team Championships, the Denison women's squash team fell to Middlebury 8-1 in their opening round match. Charlotte Jones picked up the lone win in the No. 1 flight to continue her impressive sophomore season. Middlebury improves to 13-5, while Denison falls to 11-4

Charlotte Jones took care of her opponent in the No. 1 slot in a three-game sweep. Jones now climbs to 13-1 on the season with a win percentage of 88%. The Big Red put up points and stretched out matches up and down each flight, with Nicole Smith putting up the second-most total points for Denison with 19. This is the Big Red's first appearance in the Kurtz Cup, which takes teams ranked 13-20 to participate, 20th being the highest ranking Denison has achieved.
