Denison entered the head-to-head looking to capture its first conference championship title and take down the reigning champions. Ultimately, the Big Red held off the Saints, defeating them 5-4 for the title, bringing their conference season record to 11-3, while St. Lawrence drops to 10-5

Playing a five-court system, courts 1, 8,9, and 6 started the match, with Charlotte Jones and Lane Harding collecting the first two wins of the day for a two-match lead. The Saints, looking for their second consecutive and sixth overall title, weren't backing down, knotting the day at two apiece after winning matches on courts two and five.

St. Lawrence would eventually take a two-match lead after securing wins on courts three and four, but was quickly cut to just a one-match difference when Kate Manderlink's opponent retired. Minutes later, Nicole Smith tied the two teams at four apiece after coming from behind to win 3-2. Then, on court eight in the final game of the day, Tess Lanza stifled Ksenia Merkulova's comeback with an emphatic 11-6 victory to clinch the 5-4 victory for the Big Red.
