Granville, Ohio: The Denison women's tennis team returned to action with an NCAC doubleheader against Wooster and Ohio Wesleyan. In the first match, the Big Red made quick work of the Scots, sweeping all doubles and singles matches to win 7-0. In the second match, the Big Red carried the momentum forward, earning yet another 7-0 victory to move to 3-2 overall and extend their win streak to three with a conference play record of 3-0.

Match 1 (No. 32 Denison 7, Wooster 0)

Doubles:

To kick off their weekend of conference play, the Big Red were able to take an opening 1-0 lead over Wooster with a clean sweep. The duo of Rafella Ramos and Ariana Rodriguez would strike first, winning 6-0. Court three would secure the overall win while court 1 would silidy the clean sweep.

Singles: 

Carrying momentum over from doubles, the Big Red dominated the Scots in singles play. Rodriguez made quick work of her opponent on court five, winning in straight sets. Not far behind her was Maddie Larsen, Sophia Gallgher, and Caitlin Van Winkle, who also won in straight sets. To complete the 7-0 sweep, Peyton Oda and Dasha Chistyakova won in three-set victories.

Following suit with the morning victory over Wooster, the Big Red came out on fire in doubles, downing the Bishops in just under 30 minutes. After Peyton Oda and Rafella Ramos made quick work on court one before Maddie Larsen and Maia Nowicki sealed the point with a majority win in doubles.

Rafaella Ramos kicked off singles with a clean 6-0 sweep of her opponent on court two. The rest of the Big Red lineup would win all singles matches in straight sets, sealing another 7-0 victory but also securing a 2-0 start to conference play.
