Jones Competes in CSA Individual Championships

New York, N.Y. - In a battle of the best college squash players in the country, sophomore Charlotte Jones was selected to compete in the College Squash Association Individual Championships in New York City, New York among various Division One powers. Jones would lose her first match in the round of 64, but would give a valiant effort in her consolation match, going down to the wire in a 3-2 defeat.

Jones' first matchup was against Malak Taha of the University of Pennsylvania, who is currently ranked No. 2 in the country by the CSA. Taha would make quick work of Jones, defeating her in three sets, as Taha advanced to the round of 32, while Jones was placed in the Plate Pool A consolation bracket. Jones would then face Ziyi Liu of No. 12 ranked Dartmouth, where Jones would fight to the very end, forcing a fifth set but would eventually fall, losing 3-2 and ending her tournament run.
