ROCHESTER, Mich.: Inside the OU Aquatic Center, the Denison men's swimming and diving team took on Miami (Ohio) and host school Oakland University for its first meet of the New Year. The Big Red and the Golden Grizzlies haven't swam against each other in over 25 years, with their last meet dating back to the 1998-99 season. 

Head-to-Head Results

In the Big Red's head-to-head with Oakland, they trail the Golden Grizzlies 145-41, and against Miami, Denison trails the Redhawks 131-55.

On day two, Denison fell to Oakland 267-86 and 242-111 to the Miami Redhawks to wrap the Oakland University Tri-Meet 

Top performances:

On day one, Denison had three top-three finishes. The first was earned by Jack Hill, who finished third in the 200 Free with a time of 1:37.77. Then, over at the diving well, senior diver Brendan Stanley finished third in the 3-meter dive with a score of 323.70. The Big Red finished day one strong with a third-place finish in the 400 Free Relay. Hill, Nick Hensel, Harry Parsons, and George Goins swam the event in 2:58.63.

On day two, Denison tallied three second-place finishes.  Nick Fogle would earn the first of the three after scoring a 297.85 in the 1-meter dive, earning him a second-place finish. Joining Fogle as a top-three finisher on day two was Jack Hill, who swam the 100 Free in 44.29 for second place. Rounding out all of the second-place finishes of the day was Liam Nelson, who swam the 200 Breast in 2:00.82.
