Granville, Ohio - The newly ranked No. 1 team in the country Denison left no doubt in their Friday night match against Berea College, as the Big Red smothered the Mountaineers in a 6-0 win which featured a two-goal game from junior forward
Eli Taylor. Denison moves to 5-0 while Berea falls to 0-4.
The scoring affair started off early in the 4th minute, as senior midfielder
Phil Koutsaftis connected with Taylor for his first goal of the game to make it 1-0.
Denison would keep up the defensive pressure throughout the first half, and they finally broke through again in the 42nd minute as senior defensemen
Henri Heyes took a penalty kick to the top left corner to make it 2-0.
Just a minute later, sophomore midfielder
Colin MacDonald found the back of the net for his first goal of the season to make it a 3-0 contest. Denison led in shots at the end of the first half 14-0.
At the start of the second half, Taylor would do as he did to start the second half, delivering a strike from sophomore defensemen
Kaden Kist to make it a 4-0 game. Taylor finished the game with four points.

Zarius Eusebe decided to get in on the scoring action, as
Kaden Kist delivered his second assist to give the Big Red a commanding 5-0 lead.
The final score of the game would come from sophomore forward
Emmett O'Brien, his first career goal, and was assisted by sophomore midfielder
Alex Homuth to make it a 6-0 game and would be the final score.
The Big Red absolutely dominated the offensive side of the game, out-shooting the Mountaineers 32-1 and landing 18 shots on target. First-year goalkeeper
Alex Provost records his fifth shutout of the season and has yet to be scored on in his rookie season. Assisting in keeping a clean bill for Denison was sophomore goalkeeper
Ronan Kiter, who wrapped up the final third of the matchup.
