Denison and Ohio Wesleyan traded punches early, with Tommy Quinson answering an OWU opening goal just over a minute later. The Big Red held a 4–2 lead after the first quarter and extended it to 9–4 midway through the second, fueled by goals from Macky Peck, Jack Moellering, Liam Gillard, and Jacob Campen. Peck finished with two goals and an assist, while senior Kevin Berutich contributed three key assists.
OWU, however, responded with urgency, closing the second quarter with a trio of goals, including two from Hunt, to cut Denison's lead to 9–6 at halftime. The Battling Bishops then took control in the second half, scoring seven straight goals from five different players to build a 12–9 lead by the midway point of the fourth quarter.
Quinson's third goal at 4:02 in the final period gave Denison a spark, but OWU capped off the win and the game at 3:08 to seal the 13–10 victory.
With the win, Ohio Wesleyan claims the NCAC tournament title and the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
Denison wraps up the NCAC Tournament with a hard-fought performance, finishing the season at 13–4 overall and now awaits a potential at-large bid to the 2025 NCAA Tournament.
