Granville, Ohio- The No. 3 Denison men's tennis team stretched its win streak to six after defeating No. 11 Trinity University (Texas) 6-1 on Alumni Day. With this win, the Big Red improved to 14-2 for the season, while The Tigers dropped to 10-9.

Up Next: Denison travels to Crawfordsville, Ind., to take on the Little Giants of Wabash College on Sunday, April 6. The Big Red and the Little Giants are set to face each other at 1:30 P.M.

No. 3 Denison Univ. 6- No. 11 Trinity Univ. 1
Denison jumped to an early 1-0 lead after winning its doubles matches on courts three and two. On court three, Nick Meyers and Andreas Chapides defeated Conor Kaczmarczyk and Ethan Ruppanner 6-2 for a one-match advantage. On court two, Jacob Patterson and Colin Gramley secured Denison's first point of the day after defeating Eric Liao and Aashish Dhanani 6-3. 

With a 1-0 lead heading into the singles matches, Denison seemed to roll to victory. Putting the Big Red up by two was Patterson, who defeated Kishan Kersten in straight sets, giving Denison a 2-0 edge over the Tigers. Over on court one, Ethan Green defeated Trinity's Jared Perry 6-1, 6-3 to extend the Big Red's lead to three. Unwilling to go down easily, Eric Liao forced three sets against Anthony Payiavlas to cut into Denison's lead. With a 3-1 edge over the Tigers, the team regrouped and held off their opponents, securing wins on the remaining three courts. Securing the win for the Big Red was Mason Conlin, on court six, who came from behind and defeated Roshin Kamath  2-6, 7-5, 1-0 (10-4).  The Big Red's Kael Shah and Nick Meyers earned the final two afternoon victories with a 6-3, 6-4 decision over Ryan Warren on court two by Shah and a 6-3, 6-3 win by Meyers on on court four.
