Gambier, OH- The No. 26 Denison women's tennis team faced off against the No. 25 Kenyon Owls in the NCAC women's tennis championship. After a victory in the semifinal match yesterday, this match marked the fourth consecutive championship matchup between the two teams. Kenyon was able to complete a perfect conference record, taking down the Big Red in a 4-0 decision. Denison will await a possible at-large bid in the NCAA tournament.

The Owls came out strong, jumping to a 1-0 lead after commanding two wins in doubles to secure the first point of the match. While the match was not completed, Dasha Chistyakova and Caitlin VanWinkle led 5-4 before their match was stopped due to the clinch.

In singles, Kenyon was able to overpower the Big Red, collecting the three points needed to take the win.

Overall, the Big Red closed up the season with an impressive 16-7 record. Multiple players earned double-digit singles victories on the season, led by the senior duo of Caroline Kittle and Caroline Lopez(15 wins). Dasha Chistyakova and Peyton Oda picked up 14 wins apiece on the season. In doubles, Caroline Lopez delivered a team-high 21 victories. The regionally ranked duo of Maia Nowicki and Peyton Oda earned 16 wins. Caroline Kittle, Charlotte Johns, Caitlin VanWinkle, and Dasha Chistyakova also racked up double-digit victories.
