Granville, Ohio- Earlier this month, the 2024-25 Academic All-District® Men's Swimming and Diving teams were announced, and four Denison University Men's Swimming and Diving National Championship Team members were selected. College Sports Communicators selected these students, who are recognized as the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in the pool and classroom.
Senior
Patrick Daly (New Albany, Ohio) earned his first Academic All-District® Team nod after an impressive 2025 season. At the 2025 North Coast Athletic Conference Championships, Daly took first in the 100 and 200 IM (49.57, 1:46.58), breaking the NCAC conference record. Daly was also a member of the first-place 200 and 400 Free Relay, both of which finished with "B" Cut times. His performance at the conference championships earned him a spot on the 2025 NCAA National Team, where he earned First-Team All-American honors in the 200 IM, 100, and 200 Breast, as well as the 200 and 400 Free Relay. At the NCAAs, he recorded two second-place individual finishes, helping the Big Red to its sixth NCAA Championship title.
Sophomore
Jack Hill (Leighton Buzzard, U.K.) also earned his first Academic All-District® Team honor after a dominant NCAC performance and an equally impressive NCAA showing. At the NCAC Championships, Hill earned an individual first-place finish in the 200 Free and was a part of the first-place 200, 400, and 800 Free Relay, as well as the 400 Medley Relay. Hill's performance at the NCACs awarded him a spot on the 2025 NCAA National Championship team. He continued to find success at the NCAAs, earning NCAA All-American First Team honors in the six events, with his best individual finish in the 200 Free (second-place, 1:35.82).
Senior
Gavin Jones (Bellingham, Wash.) earned his third consecutive Academic All-District® Team honor. At the NCAC Championships, Jones earned a second-place finish in the 200 Breast with a time of 1:59.19 and was a part of the first-place 800 Free Relay team. Jones earned a spot on the 2025 National team and earned First-Team All-American honors in the 200 Breast and the 800 Free Relay. He would also tally two Second-Team All-American honors in the 200 IM and the 100 Breast. Jones' best individual finish was in the 200 Breast, where he swam a 1:58.58 for fifth place.
The fourth and final Big Red to be named to the Academic All-District® Team is fellow senior
Christian Narcelles. Narcelles earned a second-place finish in the 100 IM at the NCAC Championships and swam the third leg on the first-place 200 and 400 Medley Relays teams. His efforts throughout the season and at the NCAC Championships earned him a spot on the National Championship team, where he swam the third leg on the second-place 200 Medley Relay.
Denison capped its historic season with a regular season record of 6-2; they were ranked No. 1 in the nation for three consecutive months and never left the top-ten rankings. The Big Red also clinched its 14th NCAC Championship this Year, logged 40 All-conference finishes, and 15 NCAC titles. The men's team earned two NCAC individual honors as well as NCAC Coaching Staff and Diving Staff of the Year.
