Philadelphia, Pa.- In the final days of the Walker Cup, the Denison University women's squash team fell to the No.1 seed, Wesleyan University, 8-1 in the semifinals. On Sunday, the Big Red would go on to defeat Chatham University 6-3, finishing the weekend third in the Walker Cup Division and No. 23 overall.
For the second time this year, the Big Red took on the top-seed Cardinals. Despite a similar final score, Denison battled in each match, pushing five out of the nine matches to extra games:

Playing against a depleted Chatham team, Denison finishes the season with a convincing win. Chatham claimed the first two matches, adding a bit of drama after the first round of matches, leaving Denison up 4-2. First-year
Charlotte Jones stepped out on court and with determination, took control of the match and finished with a strong 3-0 win against a tough opponent. She clinched the match and shortly after,
Charlotte Sigg wrapped up her match with another decisive 3-0 victory. With an adjusted lineup, Big Red seniors
Antoinette Ramsey,
Virginia Lawrence, and
Charlotte Sigg played their final match to help secure the team's highest ranking finish at No. 23. Throughout the weekend it was a tremendous team effort, with everyone playing their best squash of the season.
