GREENCASTLE, Ind. (Feb. 12) – The Denison University men's basketball team continued its dominant season with a 77-62 road victory over DePauw at Neal Fieldhouse. The Big Red improved to 20-2 overall and 12-1 in NCAC play, strengthening their position at the top of the conference standings with only three regular-season games remaining.
Denison took control early, building a 41-33 halftime lead behind efficient three-point shooting, knocking down eight triples in the first half. The Big Red carried that momentum into the second half, extending their advantage behind another strong shooting performance.
Tyler Miller led the way for Denison, finishing with 19 points, seven rebounds, and a block while shooting 6-for-10 from the field and 3-for-6 from beyond the arc. Aidan King provided a spark off the bench, adding 13 points on 5-of-11 shooting, including three made threes. Darren Rubin (10 points), Trevor Reed (9 points), and Scotty Dean (9 points) also contributed in a balanced scoring effort.
Denison's defensive pressure played a key role, as the Big Red forced DePauw into nine turnovers and converted those opportunities into 19 points off turnovers. The Big Red also outshot DePauw 45.9% to 33.3% from the field, holding the Tigers to just 7-for-27 shooting (25.9%) in the second half.
With only three games remaining in the regular season, Denison will look to keep rolling as they travel to Hiram College on Saturday for a 3:00 p.m. tip-off.
