Cambridge, Mass.- Denison men's diving finished the MIT Invite on a high note, after stepping up to the challenge of competition in a big way on day two of the meet. Denison competed against divers from Emory, Tufts, and MIT over the two-day meet, finishing in the top three in both the 1-meter and 3-meter dives.
On day one, Nick Fogle and Brendan Stanley earned regional cuts on the 3-meter. After 11 dives, Fogle earned second with 463.90 points, followed by Stanley, who scored 463.85 with his 11 dives. Teammates Brock Butchko and Seamus McCann took eighth and ninth, respectively, with Butchko finishing with 400.80 points and McCann with 392.70.
On day two, Fogle, Stanley, and Seamus notched regional cuts in the 1-meter. Fogle took home first in the event with 530.95 points, followed by Stanley, who finished in second place with 483.00. Seamus earned a regional cut point total after scoring a 445.40, for fifth place. Rounding out Denison's diving for the day was Butchko, who finished in eighth place with 399.80.

Denison kicks off the New Year at Oakland University on Friday, January 9, for a two-day meet against Oakland and Miami University. Friday's events are set to start at 4 p.m., and Saturday's events are set to start at 10 a.m.
