Women’s Squash Dominates in Two-Match Sweep of Hamilton and Vassar

The Big Red left no doubt in the College Squash Association Match of the Week against Hamilton, and cruised their way through Vassar.

Clinton, N.Y. - The Big Red were on the road once again to take part in a double header against Hamilton College and Vassar College, and Denison would sweep through the competition with wins of 7-2 over Hamilton and a 8-0 sweep over Vassar.

The Big Red dominated the College Squash Association Match of the Week, as Charlotte Jones won in the top spot 3-0 and Da'Nerah Chisholm took home a gritty 3-2 victory in the three-spot. The team got a huge boost from their five to nine spots, as they went 5-0 with a combined 15-1 in sets won, displaying dominance on the backend. DaNerah Chisholm had a solid day in the two and three spots for Denison, providing a spark in their big time wins.

The Big Red displayed absolute dominance on the court in their second match of the evening, as every player had a sweep in their 8-0 win over Vassar. Esme Adelman, Kate Manderlink, Maddie Ruggie, Lane Harding, and Nora Afzali all won their matches while holding their opponents to less than three points per set. It is the team's first shutout win of the season, and an impressive way to cap off the day.
