Powell, Ohio - The Denison men's cross country team made a quick trip to in-conference rival Ohio Wesleyan, and finished third out of 12 teams with a score of 96. Mount Vernon Nazarene finished first (62), and Ohio Northern finished in front of the Big Red with a score of 85. First-year
Will Jackson set a season and career best time to finish second in the OWU Invitational. Teammate
Noah Cyr was not far behind, finishing fifth.
- Jackson continues to impress in his rookie season, as he recorded a season best time of 25:51.2 to finish second in the invitational.
- Coming in second for the Big Red was Noah Cyr, who finished fifth with a time of 26:09.5. This is his second straight top 10 finish, as last week he finished sixth in the Allegheny Classic.
- Rounding out the top 50 was senior Oliver DiCerbo, who finished 21st with a season best time of 26:53.8, first-year William Fontana with a season best of 27:25.3 to finish 36th, and sophomore Phinnigan Spindler finished 41st with a season best of 27:33.4.
- The two final scorers for the Big Red were first-year Sebastian Klimchak, who finished 60th with a time of 27:48.6, and first-year Ivan Panov with a time of 28:03.6, finishing 68th.

The men's cross country team will have a week off as they head to Rock Island, Illinois, on Saturday, October 18th, for the Augustana Interregional Invitational.
